Collect Creature Head Collections

This mod adds the ability to obtain creature heads when killing them. Every creature in Minecraft has a specific chance to drop its head, which can be customized according to your preferences.

Customizable Probabilities

All head drop chances are fully customizable through the configuration file. Here are some examples of default values:

Management Commands

/jmh reload - Reloads all changes made to the "./config/justmobheads/headchances.txt" configuration file.

/jmh head list - Shows a list of all creature names for which heads are available.

/jmh head <mobname> <amount> - Creates the specified number of heads for the selected creature.

Technical Features

Texture Usage Instead of Player Names
The mod uses textures to generate creature heads, which eliminates possible lags characteristic of heads created through player names.

Pure Vanilla Resources
Since the mod does not add custom blocks, you can safely remove it, and all previously collected heads will remain in the game.

Head Drop Mechanics

When Does a Head Drop?
When a player kills a creature, there is a chance that its head will drop. The chances are preset in the configuration file, but you can change them according to your preferences. The head drops at the creature's death location.

Which Creatures Are Supported?
Heads have been added for all creatures. When Minecraft updates, new creatures automatically receive the ability to drop their heads.

What About Creepers, Skeletons and Zombies?
By default, the standard heads of these creatures do not drop, as they can be obtained using a charged creeper. However, you can enable this option in the configuration file for all three creature types.

Does the Looting Enchantment Have an Effect?
The Looting enchantment affects the head drop chance. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the configuration file. The chance increase is 3.5% at level I, 4.5% at level II, and 5.5% at level III, and so on for higher levels.
