Just Enough Keys [JEK] [Forge] - Advanced Key Management
Are you struggling with conflicting and unassigned control keys in large modpacks? Your keyboard simply doesn't have enough keys to accommodate all the necessary combinations for every mod. Just Enough Keys solves this problem by allowing you to create complex key combinations using Ctrl, Shift, Alt, and any other keyboard keys.
Main Features
The mod provides six key modifiers: left Control, left Alt, left Shift, right Control, right Alt, and right Shift. All these modifiers can be combined in any configuration with other keyboard keys, giving you virtually unlimited options for assigning control commands.
For example, you can use simple combinations like [a], [ctrl+a] or more complex ones such as [right ctrl + left alt + a], [right shift + a], and many others.
Planned Features
In future updates, developers plan to add automatic key conflict resolution, automatic assignment of unbound commands from available combinations, and a centralized key configuration system similar to Steam, based on mods and modpacks.
Compatibility and Features
This is a client-side only mod - do not include it in server files. The mod has been tested in the Starpack Titan modpack and works successfully with over 610 mods simultaneously. Although compatibility with each individual mod hasn't been fully verified yet, the developer will update information about any emerging issues.
It's important to note that Just Enough Keys is incompatible with the Controlling mod, as it has its own search system. Any other problems can be reported through the appropriate tab on the project page.
Technical Information
The mod is inspired by Amecs Api by Siphalor, which is distributed under the Apache 2.0 license. Developers allow using Just Enough Keys in your modpacks provided that distribution occurs through the official CurseForge page or includes a link to the project description.
