Jack-O'-Launcher

This mod was specifically developed for the 2018 MMD Spooky Jam and draws inspiration from the Jack 'O Lantern Launcher in Terraria. It introduces players to two new items: the launcher itself and special ammunition for it.

Revolutionary Approach to Explosive Technology

The Jack-O'-Launcher allows shooting special projectiles that produce various effects upon impact. The system's unique feature is that each projectile can be individually customized by combining different components during crafting. This opens limitless possibilities for creative application in combat and exploration.

Crafting Projectiles

The ammunition crafting process is intuitive: any pumpkin is combined with additional components. Each ingredient brings a unique effect, and using multiple elements simultaneously creates complex impacts. Some components can be added in larger quantities to enhance the effect.

Please note: ingredients marked with an asterisk () are mutually exclusive and require at least 1 unit of gunpowder.

• Gunpowder (up to 8): determines explosion power
• Fire charge (up to 1): ignites the impact area
• Wool block (up to 1): protects blocks from explosion damage
• Feather (up to 1): applies silk touch to destroyed blocks
• Gold nuggets (up to 3): increases fortune when destroying blocks
• Slime balls (up to 1): projectile bounces on impact instead of exploding
• Iron nuggets (up to 4): increases impact and explosion damage
• Ender pearl (up to 1): teleports player to explosion location
• Bone block (up to 1): fertilizes soil in impact zone
• Splash/Lingering potions (up to 1): applies potion effect upon detonation
• Any arrows (up to 8): explosion releases multiple arrows
• Firework rocket (up to 1): eliminates gravity effect, sets detonation time, and adds visual effects

Weapon Modification

The enchantment system significantly expands the launcher's functionality. In addition to standard improvements, four unique enchantments are available:

• Unbreaking - standard improvement
• Mending - restores durability
• Looting - increases loot
• Launching - accelerates projectile flight speed
• Unwasting - reduces ammunition consumption
• Reloading - shortens cooldown time
• Blast Shield - significantly reduces damage from own explosions

Capabilities Demonstration

Full integration with JEI allows easy exploration of all available recipes directly in the game, providing a convenient and intuitive gaming experience.
