Islands Mod - Endless Ocean with Islands
Islands mod completely transforms world generation in Minecraft, creating an infinite ocean dotted with various islands. This is the perfect solution for fans of sea adventures and survival in limited space.
Each island generates uniquely - from small patches of land to extensive archipelagos. You can configure the minimum and maximum island sizes through the configuration file, creating exactly the world you need.
Mod Installation
To install Islands, follow these steps:
- Download and install MinecraftForge from the official website
- Download the Islands mod file
- In the .minecraft folder, create a "mods" folder if it doesn't exist
- Place the mod file (.jar) in the created folder
- Launch Minecraft and select the Forge profile
- Enjoy the game!
How to Start Playing
Single Player
When creating a new world, open the "More World Options..." menu and select "Islands" as the world type. After creating the world, you'll find yourself on one of the many islands in the endless ocean.
Multiplayer
Server setup depends on the Minecraft version:
Version 1.14.4: Add the line use-modded-worldtype=islands to the end of the server.properties file
Version 1.15.2: Replace level-type=default with level-type=islands in the server.properties file
Versions 1.16.5 and 1.17.1: Replace level-type=default with level-type=islands:islands in the server.properties file
Important: These settings only work during the initial generation of the server world!
Compatibility with Other Mods
Islands works excellently with most mods that add new biomes. Biomes from other mods will generate as separate islands. However, some mods may have their own world generation systems, which may limit compatibility.
