About the Mod

This mod represents my vision of an inventory update for Minecraft. All features are designed in line with Mojang's philosophy and could potentially be added to the original game.

Important Installation Note

The mod must be installed on both the client and server. Installing it only on one side will cause errors and incorrect functionality.

Required Dependencies for Forge

Main Features

Toolbelt

Tools are now stored in a special belt, not taking up space on the hotbar. When mining blocks, the appropriate tool is automatically used from the belt.

• Mending first repairs tools in the belt before going to player's experience
• Axe is used as a melee weapon if the sword slot is empty
• Hoe slot accepts shears, and sword slot accepts trident
• Supports tools from other mods if they inherit from standard tool classes

Utility Belt

A replacement for the offhand with a separate panel of 4 slots that can be scrolled independently. Scrolling skips empty slots. The selected item can be used separately, allowing you to simultaneously hold two types of blocks or usable items.

Deep Pockets Enchantment

Each level of this enchantment adds an additional row to your inventory, up to 3 rows at maximum level. The first level also increases the utility belt capacity from 4 to 8 slots.

Increased Ender Chest Capacity

Ender chest capacity has been doubled. This feature can be disabled in server settings, but when changing configuration, it must be distributed to all players.

Infinity Bow Fix

The mod fixes the vanilla bug where using the Infinity Bow required an arrow.

Player Settings

Segmented Hotbar

Accessing slots beyond the fifth can be inconvenient due to distant key locations. This feature allows you to first select a segment, then an item within it.

There's also a "Visual Only" option that maintains the standard selection scheme.

Firework Rocket Boost Button

A dedicated button to launch a boost rocket directly from your inventory while flying. Can be bound to the same key as jump.

Trident Loyalty Check

This option prevents throwing a trident without the Loyalty enchantment.

Use Item Applies to Offhand

Originally, each hand was planned to have its own dedicated button, but some players found this confusing. This option restores the standard "Use Item" behavior, while "Use Utility" applies only to the utility belt/offhand.

Skip Empty Utility Slots

By default, scrolling and displaying the utility belt skips empty slots, but this behavior can be disabled. There's also a keybind (not assigned by default) that allows scrolling to the first empty utility belt slot.

Rebind Scroll Wheel

The mouse wheel can be rebound to scroll through the utility belt, using number keys to select hotbar slots.

Dark Inventorio Player UI

Compatibility with dark theme mods and resource packs.

Swapped Hands

This option allows assigning the standard hotbar to your offhand, and the utility belt to your main hand.

Global Settings

To improve compatibility with other mods, some features can be disabled at the game-wide level for all players.

Global settings are accessible via keybind (only in single player) or directly in the file %root_folder%/config/inventorio_shared.json.

Joining a server with mismatching global settings will prompt you to sync your settings and restart the game (recommended).
