Features and Innovations
Snow Biomes
Snow accumulates during snowfall, and this process accelerates during thunderstorms. In clear weather, snow melts when the light level is above 11. In dry biomes, melting occurs 9 times faster, while in snowy biomes, it's 5 times slower, maintaining a minimal layer. Farmland turns into dirt upon contact with snow, and lava cools down. During blizzards, players and mobs take freezing damage, but protection is provided by wearing a leather chestplate or staying in well-lit areas.
Desert Biomes
Sandstorms occur during rain, and powerful storms with tornadoes appear during thunderstorms. Breezes, rabbits, camels, and entities wearing leather helmets are immune to these effects.
Jungles, Beaches, Caves, Rivers, Oceans, and Swamps
Mist forms in the morning during clear weather, and waves appear in the ocean. Floods occur during rain, and massive floods happen during thunderstorms.
Savannas and Badlands
During the day, fires and lightning strikes appear on blocks mineable with a shovel or hoe during rain or thunderstorms.
Additional Elements
- Fireflies: spawn at night near rivers and in swamps during clear weather.
- Campfires: regular campfires extinguish in rain, while soul campfires do so twice as rarely.
Enhanced Precipitation (with optional resource pack)
- Rain: fewer particles, more transparent and whitish color.
- Snow: increased transparency.
