The Improved Archeology mod significantly expands and enhances the archaeology system introduced in version 1.20, while fully preserving the style and atmosphere of vanilla Minecraft.
Main Features
Additional Pottery Shard Patterns
When exploring desert structures, you can now discover numerous new patterns for pottery shards. This greatly expands the possibilities for creatively decorating decorative pots.
Bricks can be used to create a blank shard that includes the golden trim like other patterns.
Colored Decorative Pots
A new dyeing function allows you to personalize your pots even further. You can now give them any desired color.
Desert Ruins
A new structure in the world provides players with more opportunities to apply their archaeological skills in practice.
Future Additions
Soon, new types of artifacts such as small figurines and masks will be available to find in suspicious sand.
Important Information for Version 1.19.4
When enabling the 1.20 update datapack, make sure the Fabric Mods datapack is above it in the list, otherwise new pottery shards will not appear in the world.
