Immersive Creative
This data pack creates a special creative dimension and configurations for Immersive Portals, allowing seamless movement from survival to creative mode with separate inventories.
Required Mods
For full functionality, the core mods required are: Immersive Portals and Dimensional Inventories.
Installation
- Install your chosen additional dependencies.
- Create a backup of your Minecraft world.
- Place the data pack in your world folder.
- Add the preset from the github repository to the dimensionalinventories folder or configure Dimensional Inventories using the
/diminvcommand.
Features
Vanilla Priority
The data pack works minimally even in a clean Minecraft version (you can use /tp to switch dimensions), with recommended mods only adding smooth movement between modes through portals and automatic inventory switching.
This implementation uses Mojang's built-in dimension system, meaning your vanilla world remains unchanged. If a version update or data pack update makes it unusable, you're left with a clean vanilla world without modifications and some empty portals.
Balanced Dimensions
Measures were taken to ensure the data pack doesn't allow serious exploits in the world.
- Achievements and statistics don't progress in creative mode.
- Items and mobs cannot move between different game modes.
- No player interaction between modes. (cannot place blocks in the main world from creative mode)
Creative Mode Features
- To activate the creative portal, a frame of gold blocks and a Nether Star is required, making it similar in cost to a beacon.
- A basic flat map with 64 layers of stone, ready for testing, creativity, and experimentation.
- Hostile mobs don't spawn naturally but can be summoned. (use
/biomefillto change the biome and enable mob spawning in an area) - Portals can only be created from survival to creative mode.
