Ice-9

Ice-9 represents a completely new type of ice. Unlike regular ice that freezes at temperatures below zero, this unique substance crystallizes at anomalously high readings - over 114 degrees Fahrenheit. The most dangerous property of Ice-9 is its ability to instantly transform any regular water it comes into contact with into the exact same ice.

Spreading Mechanism: Since holding Ice-9 in hands is deadly, the only way to use it is to throw the block from inventory onto the ground. When entering aquatic environment, it triggers a chain reaction capable of turning entire oceans into deadly ice mass within seconds.

Safety and Vulnerability: Any living organism containing water in its body instantly dies upon direct contact with Ice-9 (holding it or walking barefoot). However, not all creatures are vulnerable - skeletons, hostile fighters and endermen possess natural immunity to the destructive effects of this substance.

Reverse Process: To convert Ice-9 back into regular water, exposure to lava is necessary. Upon contact with molten magma, the ice gradually melts, returning to its original liquid state.

Settings and Balance: The modification includes configuration options for performance optimization - you can disable the rapid spread mode that significantly reduces TPS during large-scale water transformations. A blacklist is also available to add additional mobs with immunity. Bosses are inherently protected from Ice-9 effects to maintain gameplay balance.
