Hackers 'n Slashers
A Minecraft modification that completely overhauls the standard critical system and introduces new RPG-style mechanics!
💡 What Does This Modification Do?
- Fundamentally changes the basic critical strike system in Minecraft
- Adds new attack effects inspired by Minecraft Dungeons
- Offers completely new combat tactics
The mod doesn't add its own weapons, so you're free to use any weapon types you prefer!
✨ Key Features
🗡️ Enhanced Critical System
Vanilla critical strikes have been replaced with new types based on RPG game principles. Each critical hit is accompanied by a special indicator appearing above the target.
Currently, three types of critical hits are available: backstab, riposte, and headshot.

Backstab Deals ×2 damage to targets that aren't actively attacking you back. Fast weapons receive an additional bonus: modified items like daggers with high attack speed and low base damage get a significantly increased backstab multiplier.
Riposte Deals ×1.5 damage to stunned enemies while removing the stun effect. Heavy weapons with low attack speed and high damage have an increased damage multiplier.
Headshot Projectiles hitting the target's head deal ×2 damage.
All critical effects are cumulative. For example, a headshot combined with a backstab gives a ×4 multiplier.

⚙️ New RPG Mechanics
The mod introduces two classic mechanics from popular RPGs: parry and stealth.

Parry Pressing a special key puts the player into a defensive stance for several seconds, reducing incoming damage. Parrying can also apply a stun effect to the target - the probability increases as the enemy's health decreases. The more wounded the enemy, the higher the chance to stun them.
Stealth The stealth system realistically simulates creature detection. There are three states: hidden, suspect, and detected. Detection level is displayed as an eye during sneaking movement.
Staying in dark or enclosed places reduces your visibility to mobs. The player has a time window for maneuvers before a mob completely focuses on them - this time decreases when wearing armor. The more armor the character wears, the easier it is for mobs to detect them.
Invisibility makes the player completely undetectable, but the effect is removed upon attacking. Mobs may start searching the area if the player leaves cover.
⛓️ Compatibility
The mod is fully compatible with Better Combat, adding unique parry animations for various weapon types! Works with any modifications that don't conflict with its mechanics.
🔜 Future Plans
This is my first modification, and it continues to actively develop. Currently in progress:
