Green Thumb - Nature Overhaul
The Green Thumb mod fundamentally transforms the natural environment in Minecraft, turning the familiar world into an exciting ecosystem with diverse crafting and exploration opportunities.
New Items and Resources
Players gain access to exclusive materials. Crushed mushrooms open the way to creating mycelium and other special blocks. The forgotten chainmail finally becomes craftable thanks to iron nuggets that are now obtainable.
Resin serves as a universal substitute for slime balls in recipes and gives wooden planks fire resistance. Wolf fur, obtained from wolves, opens possibilities for creating new armor. Blank discs and sheet music are also available for crafting music discs.
Blocks and Construction
The world has been enriched with unique building materials. Compacted dirt forms underground veins and serves as the basis for fences and slabs. The Ender block creates an optical effect, allowing you to look underground and discover caves.
Elder Trees adorn plains and extreme hills, yielding green apples and saplings. Adobe bricks are presented in various versions: mossy, carved, cracked - all suitable for creating stairs, slabs and walls.
Of particular interest are fire-resistant planks, available for all wood types, as well as obsidian decorative elements and bright glowstone torches.
Automation and Mechanisms
Special devices simplify work with the landscape. The Redstone Spreader distributes grass, the Corruptor - mycelium, and the Ager covers stones with moss.
Plant World
The flora has been transformed with many new flowers:
- Cyan flower (cyan dye)
- Glowflower (light source and glowstone source)
- Pink carnation, daisy, violet (various dyes)
- Fen blossom (slime ball source)
- Rainbowflower (multiple dyes)
- Sunflower (orange dye)
- Dark bloom (dangerous plant with wither effect)
World Generation
Underground veins now include clay, mud and compacted dirt, making mining more engaging. Underground ice appears in taiga and snowy biomes. The world is complemented by new adobe dungeons and wells, while melons rarely generate in swamps.
Nether and New Possibilities
In the adapted Nether dimension, wart now generates together with soul sand, while brick fortresses are inhabited by zombie pigmen.
Diversity is supplemented with new food products: raw squid (turns into calamari when cooked), sheep rinds, green apples, apple pies, cheese and a delightful cheesecake.
Wooden buckets facilitate water transportation, while poisoned blades deal additional poison damage. Ancient toxin for weapon poisoning is obtained from the Dark Bloom.
Development Plans
Looking ahead - creation of adobe strongholds, introduction of new agricultural crops, addition of configuration options for improved compatibility with other modifications.
