Ghost Utils

The Ghost Utils modification is a small client-side enhancement featuring various useful interface overlays.

Light Level Indicator

One of the mod's key features is the system of light markers showing illumination level of surfaces:

• Yellow "X" sign — indicates sufficient sunlight level preventing hostile creature spawning during daytime
• Orange "X" sign — shows insufficient sunlight for blocking mob spawning
• Red "X" sign — signals complete absence of light in the area

Light Source Preview

When holding a light-emitting block and aiming at any surface, a translucent green area appears, visualizing the light source's influence zone after placement — areas where hostile creature spawning will be blocked.

Toggle this overlay with the F7 key.

Item Information Display

Additional gameplay element — item information panel displaying detailed data about the cursor-selected object:

• Item name and quantity
• Internal item/block identifier
• Durability level
• Item/block tags (versions 1.16+) or ore dictionary (version 1.12)
• NBT data

By default, the information panel has a compact size. Pressing the Shift key enlarges the interface for better viewing convenience. If text doesn't fit within screen boundaries, panel scrolling is available by moving the item.

Activate/deactivate this overlay with the F9 key.
