GLASS - Surveillance Cameras for Minecraft Decoration
The GLASS projection module opens up amazing possibilities for decorating your structures in Minecraft. Want to enjoy a sunset while deep underground? Now it's possible!
Main Blocks and Their Functions
The mod adds four special blocks with unique functions:
GLASS terminal - functions as a surveillance camera. Set it up and configure to select a broadcast channel with public or private access.
GLASS projector - displays the image from the terminal when powered with redstone signal. When connected to GLASS extensions, the display area expands.
GLASS extension - increases the projection area when connected to the projector.
GLASS wireless extension - provides wireless connection between system devices.
Control and Configuration
The projector automatically switches to wireless mode when a wireless extension is connected to it. In this mode, the image is formed by triangular segments, where the first point corresponds to the projector, and the two following points correspond to the connected wireless extensions. Each subsequent section uses the last two extensions as main points.
Technical Limitations and Performance
Like any client-side visualization system, GLASS has limitations on rendering distance. You can only view areas that are located sufficiently close to your current position. All system elements must be within the client's loaded world.
It's important to remember that each additional projected view reduces the frame rate by half (consider this when planning the number of active views). All settings are inherited from World Portals included in iChunUtil.
A known mod issue is the possible appearance of gaps in the displayed area, which also exists in the Portal Gun mod from the same developer.
