Fullbright Plus
What are the advantages over other lighting mods?
Most Fullbright mods simply change the gamma value, setting it to maximum level. Unfortunately, this can also be done in game settings or using other tools, so such solutions don't offer any special benefits.
Fullbright Plus approaches the issue fundamentally differently - it completely disables the lighting system in all possible aspects, which additionally provides a performance boost by reducing the load on the processor and RAM. Why waste resources on constant lighting calculations for each frame if the illumination will be maximum anyway?
Functionality and limitations
All actions performed by the mod affect exclusively the visual component. It doesn't change game parameters, working only with rendering classes. At the same time, brightness methods used for game logic (for example, mob spawning conditions) remain untouched.
Supported functions:
- Disabling block lighting
- Disabling entity lighting
- Disabling ambient occlusion
- Disabling vignette
Unsupported functions:
- Disabling entity shadows
- Disabling Optifine's dynamic lighting
