Enhanced Freezing System

Frostiful fundamentally reworks the powder snow freezing mechanics, introducing numerous new ways to freeze and warm up. Danger now lurks not only in snowstorms but also from passive cooling, hanging icicles, and special enchantments.

To protect against the cold, craft fur armor from Fur Tufts, which provides Frost Resistance. Warm up by a campfire, near rocks covered with Sun Lichen, or even steal heat from enemies using the Enervation spell.

Frost Magic and New Enemies

Frostology is a new form of Illager magic dealing with cold and ice. Frostologers — reimagined versions of the Iceologer from Minecraft Dungeons — are masters of this art. They reside in snowy fortresses in Snowy Plains and Ice Spikes biomes, surrounded by armies of Chillagers armed with crossbows and Glacial Arrows.

By defeating a Frostologer, you can craft the Frost Wand, which freezes enemies in place. By completing an Ominous Frostologer Trial, obtain the Cloak of Frostology — a unique cape that turns freezing into a source of power. But be careful: wearing the cloak will cause you to melt if you get too warm!

Flexible Configuration

Frostiful offers extensive configuration options. You can disable passive freezing if you prefer other temperature mods, or adjust difficulty to your preferences. The mod also integrates with datapacks for complex temperature effects.

Compatibility with Other Mods

The mod features built-in integration with popular addons:

• Enchantment Descriptions: describes the mod's enchantments
• Trinkets: allows equipping the Cloak of Frostology as a cosmetic item
• Farmer's Delight: hot cocoa provides the Warmth effect
• Spectrum: several drinks provide warming effects

Technical Requirements

Required: Fabric API, Thermoo, Mod Menu, and Cloth Config. Quilt users can replace Fabric API with Quilt Standard Libraries.

Frostiful is developed for Fabric and modern Minecraft versions. NeoForge support is not planned but possible via Sinytra Connector (unofficially). Quilt support will be provided.
