Fractured Altars

Fractured Altars are a unique type of shattered altars found underground. You may discover about one such altar per chunk on average. Breaking such a power spot yields a generous reward—a bundle of diamonds (8 piles) and single blocks of every ore (except netherite and real diamond ones). Additionally, upon its destruction, it throws multiple survival challenges up at once.

Here are the effects triggered: a never-ending night (eternal night), savage hostility (universal anger), removal of health regeneration, neutral mobs remembering your defeats forever after death.

Once you break one altar, additional ones don’t pile up anymore danger—you can harvest treasures from undetonated points more safely.
