Fractal Lightning
Minecraft's default lightning visualization looks rather dull and, in my opinion, doesn't resemble actual flashes at all. I decided to fix this situation by creating an improved version.
The modifier generates fractal geometry for each lightning bolt (hence the name) and dynamically adjusts the level of detail depending on the distance between the player and the discharge. This allows lightning to appear maximally realistic and detailed exactly where it's needed, without overloading the system when viewed from a distance.
