Fossil Mod for Fabric

The Fossil Mod for Fabric adds an exciting paleontological mechanic to Minecraft, allowing players to discover and study ancient fossils.

Main Features

New fossil blocks appear in the world that can be mined. Essentially, this is bone ore - you can smelt it into bones for practical use or keep it as a decorative element. This is a simple but important addition that was missing from the standard version of the game.

Archaeological System

You can now create a special archaeology table that allows you to summon an archaeologist. Bring found fossils to this NPC, and he will offer you skeleton models of various creatures in exchange.

Finds and Trading

To extract fossils, you need to use a shovel. Found artifacts can be exchanged with the archaeologist.

Archaeologist Villager

This special trader buys both individual fossils and entire blocks, offering decorative skeleton models of your favorite Minecraft creatures in return.

Collectible Models

Skeleton models purchased from the archaeologist will make excellent decorations for your home or serve as the basis for creating your own museum. Currently available are: ancient skull, chicken, pig (consisting of two parts - head and rear), and creeper. All models are oriented in one direction.

Fossil Varieties

There are three variants of fossil blocks with the same names but found at different depths - some are buried deeper than others. More valuable specimens can be sold to higher-level archaeologists.
