Flowing Blocks - Flowing Blocks for Minecraft
This compact mod creates liquid versions of various solid blocks, allowing you to build smooth and even surfaces. Inspired by community ideas, it transforms ordinary materials into flowing substances with physical properties.

The main feature of the mod is that the liquids have collision - you can walk smoothly over them, and they don't mix with existing liquids, making them ideal for decorative construction. Blocks with special properties, such as Soul Sand or Magma, retain their unique characteristics even in liquid form.

Additionally, the mod adds Cement. To create it, you'll need a water bucket, two clay, a sand block, and an empty bucket (note: the bucket from the water bucket is not consumed). Over time, the Cement hardens into a durable Cement Block, which can be used as a smooth gray building material and crafted into stairs, slabs, and walls.
Future plans:
- Breakable fluids. Although the standard fluid code prohibits this, the developer is exploring the possibility of adding this feature. If implemented, source blocks would drop as regular cubic blocks, while non-source blocks would drop nothing and likely flow back into place.
- (unlikely) Improving fluid normals. A minor current issue is that all the top faces of the fluids look the same, which can make them appear less three-dimensional and blend with surrounding blocks. Fixing this would require special solutions.
