Feast
Most existing food mods tend to stray too far from vanilla gameplay style. When developing Feast, I aimed to create a modification that organically complements the standard gameplay without disrupting its atmosphere.
Cutting Board
A simple yet functional block for preparing various dishes:
- Hold an item and right-click the board to place ingredients
- Right-click with an empty hand to clear the workspace
- To craft a dish, hold Shift and right-click — Crafted from three wooden slabs placed in the bottom row of a crafting table
Coming soon: REI support and custom recipe creation through datapacks.
Rice
A completely new agricultural crop for your world:
- Find still water one block deep with dirt at the bottom — that's where you can plant rice by using seeds via right-click
- Mature plants are harvested just like berries in standard gameplay
Faraway Traveler
One of the villagers has found a new profession:
- Place a decorated pot next to any unemployed villager to turn them into a traveling merchant
- Currently, they trade emeralds exclusively for rice, but their prices become more favorable as you trade more
Sushi
Traditional Japanese cuisine is now available in Minecraft:
- Preparation requires a cutting board and three ingredients: raw cod, dried kelp, and rice
- Don't forget to use the Shift+right-click combination to create the dish
Stove and Stove Pot
While these items aren't currently craftable, they bring the cooking process closer to reality:
- Right-click water with a stove pot to fill it with liquid
- Use the same pot on the stove to place the cookware
Known issue: The water-filled pot doesn't visually change, but the liquid is indeed present.
Spice Rack
An \"upgrade\" of classic chests, specifically modified for kitchen use:
- Holds up to six different items simultaneously
- All stored items are visible directly on the shelf without opening inventory
- Crafted from oak logs and one oak slab on a crafting table
Multiplayer flaw: Sometimes items on the shelf continue to display for other players after being taken — fixed by simply re-right-clicking.
