FastFurnace

FastFurnace is a modification that significantly improves furnace performance in Minecraft. Using mixin technology, the mod optimizes the operation of regular furnaces, blast furnaces, and smokers, reducing server load (TPS) without speeding up the smelting process itself.

The main improvement lies in caching the last used recipe. Instead of scanning the entire recipe database every time like the standard game does, FastFurnace first checks the saved recipe. This is especially important in modded setups where the number of recipes can reach hundreds, unlike the approximately 70 in vanilla version.

These changes affect not only standard blocks but also any mods using AbstractFurnaceTileEntity. In tests with nine furnaces constantly smelting cobblestone, FastFurnace shows noticeable load reduction compared to the vanilla system. In modpacks with large numbers of recipes, the benefit of installing this mod becomes even more significant.
