Fake Players
This Minecraft mod allows you to add realistic artificial players to the game that look and behave like real characters.
Main Features
Player Imitator Mobs
The created entities are visually indistinguishable from regular players and possess extensive functionality:
- Freely move around the territory
- Counterattack when taking damage
- Can wear armor and hold items in hands
- Have their own inventory
- Support name changing via name tag
- Change appearance (skins)
Interaction with Items
By right-clicking with various items in hand, you can control the behavior of artificial players:
- Observer – enables/disables the mob's AI
- Name Tag – changes the character's name and skin
- Stairs – makes them sit
- Bed – puts them to sleep
- Slab – switches between regular and slim skin
- Paper – hides/shows the name above the head
Creating an Artificial Player
To obtain the mob, you need to craft a "Robot Shell" and "Robot AI", then combine them on a crafting table. Detailed crafting recipes can be seen in the mod's gallery.
Skin System
The mod supports several ways to customize appearance:
- Automatic skin retrieval – when specifying a real player's name, the mod automatically loads the corresponding skin
- Loading via URL – use the command
/players url <entity> <link>to set an arbitrary skin - Trending skins – built-in collection of popular designs, accessible through GUI (Shift+RMB)
- Slim skin support – full compatibility with all types of character models
