SCP-131, The Eye Pods
The "SCP-131, The Eye Pods" modification introduces creatures from the SCP Foundation universe into Minecraft. These small friendly creatures are known as Eye Pods and spawn in groups in the overworld.
Mod Features
SCP-131 are harmless, teardrop-shaped creatures with large expressive eyes. They come in four color variants: red, yellow, green, and blue. Although these creatures are non-aggressive, they can be picked up and carried in hands.
The main feature of the Eye Pods is their behavior. They constantly watch the player with their large eyes, creating a sense of being constantly observed. The creatures are quite mobile - they run around and quickly flee when attacked.
Compatibility and Interaction
Important gameplay mechanic: when SCP-131 is within a 10-block radius, the SCP-173 creature freezes and cannot move or attack. However, in this state, the Eye Pods themselves also become immobile.
The mod is compatible with other SCP modifications, including SCP-173, starting from version 1.2.
Technical Requirements
The mod requires Geckolib installation:
- GeckoLib for Minecraft version 1.19.2
- GeckoLib for Minecraft version 1.19.4
- GeckoLib for Minecraft version 1.20.1
Frequently Asked Questions
Where does SCP-131 spawn? Eye Pods can spawn in groups anywhere in the overworld like regular mobs. However, only one instance of SCP-131 can exist at a time.
Why do messages appear in the console? Most mobs use special spawning conditions, which leads to messages being created in the console when these conditions work.
Why can't I summon a mob? Spawning conditions determine what requirements must be met for certain mobs to spawn. Some spawn only above Y level 60, others - below. Most mobs can only spawn in the overworld.
Why are features missing in different versions? It is recommended to play the newest versions of Minecraft. Not all MCreator features are available or the same in different versions. For example, version 1.19.2 doesn't have shield features, improved structure generation, or custom villagers, while version 1.20.1 does have them.

The mod was created using MCreator and can be used in modpacks.
