ExtraCells2 - SamLam140330's Fork: Continuation of Popular Applied Energistics 2 Addon

This fork emerged as a response to the discontinuation of the original Extra Cells 2 version, which was marked as abandoned and no longer searchable on CurseForge. For modpack creators and regular players, this situation created significant inconveniences, which prompted the creation of this version.

Key Differences from Original

Currently, the main focus is on fixing existing bugs and ensuring compatibility with modern Minecraft versions. The author acknowledges not having deep knowledge of Forge and Applied Energistics 2 APIs yet but plans to gradually study these technologies to implement additional functionality in the future. The developer welcomes suggestions and is open to considering pull requests from experienced programmers.

Legal Aspects

The project fully complies with the MIT license terms under which the original mod was distributed, making the fork creation completely legal.

IMPORTANT: Do not install both the original version and this fork simultaneously!

Acknowledgments to Original Team

Despite the discontinued support, the original Extra Cells 2 played an important role in developing the Applied Energistics ecosystem, providing players with numerous useful functions for working with fluids and storage systems.

Mod Capabilities

ExtraCells was initially created as the first addon for Applied Energistics 2 and over time evolved into a comprehensive system for fluid handling. The mod allows storing fluids directly in AE2 networks using special storage cells or tanks via storage bus. Beyond the fluid system, the mod includes many useful features:

• ME Dropper for process automation
• Customizable storage cells with upgrade capabilities
• Blast-resistant ME Drive protecting valuable data from creeper explosions

Installation

Required for proper operation:

• Minecraft Forge version 10.13.2.1291 or newer

• Extra Cells 2

All files must be placed in the mods folder.
