Permanent Abilities at Your Disposal
Tired of constantly carrying potions, special armor, or tools to gain certain abilities? The EverlastingAbilities mod offers a revolutionary solution - permanent abilities that stay with you even after death and don't require carrying special items.
How It Works
When you first enter a world, you receive an Ability Bottle with a random ability.

Right-clicking the bottle opens a window where you can move the ability to your character.

Moving abilities to your character requires a certain amount of experience, and returning them back to the bottle returns that experience to you. Each ability has a maximum level, so don't try to get 20 levels of speed - it's impossible.
Available Abilities
The mod offers 44 unique abilities:
- Flight: Allows you to fly
- Step Assist: Automatically step up a certain number of blocks depending on level
- Fertility: Makes animals in the area fertile
- Bonemealer: Fertilizes the area with bonemeal
- Power Stare: Pushes away entities you're looking at
- Magnetize: Attracts nearby items
- Speed: Increases walking speed
- Haste: Speeds up resource gathering
- Strength: Increases attack damage
- Jump Boost: Allows jumping higher
- Regeneration: Speeds up health regeneration
- Resistance: Reduces damage taken
- Fire Resistance: Reduces fire damage
- Water Breathing: Allows breathing underwater
- Invisibility: Makes you invisible
- Night Vision: Allows seeing in the dark
- Absorption: Adds absorption hearts
- Saturation: Reduces hunger
- Luck: Increases chance of better loot
- Slowness: Entities in the area move slower
- Mining Fatigue: Entities in the area gather resources slower
- Nausea: Entities in the area experience nausea
- Blindness: Entities in the area become blind
- Hunger: Entities in the area become hungry
- Weakness: Entities in the area become weaker
- Poison: Entities in the area become poisoned
- Wither: Entities in the area become withered
- Glowing: Entities in the area start glowing
- Levitation: Entities in the area start levitating
- Unluck: Entities in the area have lower chance of good loot
- Slow Falling: Falling slows down and you take no fall damage
- Conduit Power: Gives underwater bonuses
- Dolphins Grace: Increases swimming speed when dolphin is nearby
- Bad Omen: Entities in the area can trigger raids in villages
- Darkness: Entities in the area have deteriorated vision
- Hero of the Village: Receive gifts and discounts from villagers
- Wind Charged: Creates wind charges upon death
- Weaving: Creates cobwebs upon death
- Oozing: Creates slimes upon death
- Infested: Creates silverfish upon death
- Heart Gainer: Increases maximum health
- Hidden Chestplate: Increases armor points
- Knockback: Knocks attacked entities further away
- Attack Steroids: Reduces cooldown time when attacking
- Block Range: Increases range for interacting with blocks
- Entity Range: Increases range for interacting with entities
- Impacting Legs: Increases safe fall distance
- Swift Sneak: Increases movement speed while sneaking
Abilities that affect entities in an area are not applied to players who are in the same team as you.
Full Customization and Extensibility
Starting from version 2.x, all abilities can be fully customized via datapacks, and new ones can be added. Each ability can be disabled or modified using a custom datapack.
Ability Loss and Acquisition System
If you die at the hands of another player, you lose one random ability. This ability drops as an Ability Totem that another player can pick up and use for themselves. (This behavior can be changed in the configuration file)

Ability totems with random abilities can be found in loot chests.

Some mobs also drop abilities. These mobs can be identified by their particle effects - the color of the effects shows the rarity of their ability.

Starting from version 1.3.0, leftover totems can be recycled by combining 3 of them in a crafting grid to create a new random totem. The rarity of input totems will affect the rarity of the output totem.
