Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Can I simply replace BetterArcheology with this version?
Answer: No! You'll need to collect all items again. This is done intentionally to enable deeper changes and updates in the future. An update tool might be created for the final release, but it doesn't exist at the moment.
Question: What advantages does this version have compared to the original BetterArcheology?
Answer: Current differences include:
- Ability to change settings during gameplay via ModMenu
- Compatibility with Trinkets API (required for using Soaring Winds enchantment in elytra slot)
- Compatibility with Numismatic Overhaul
- Compatibility with Artifacts
- More balanced villager trading
- Structure generation in other mods' biomes
Question: Will there be a Forge version?
Answer: No! I don't have time for that and I'm not interested in learning another API. Additionally, the dependencies I use also don't have Forge versions. Adding compatibility would require a complete code rewrite.
Question: Can I use this mod in my modpack?
Answer: Do whatever you want with the mod. Its license allows almost everything, provided the license notice is preserved.
