Features That Won't Be Added
The developer has consciously excluded porting the following features:
- Dual wielding
- Shields
However, since the project is open source, anyone can contribute and implement these features.
How to Change Player Model to Alex
There are two simple ways to customize your character's appearance:
1. Using a command:
At any point in the game, you can enter the command /setPlayerModel alex (or steve) to change the model. The change persists between sessions, so you only need to do it once.
2. Texture file configuration:
The mod automatically determines the character model by checking the transparency of a specific area on your skin. If the specified area is completely transparent (alpha channel equals 0), the Alex model is activated.
The area that should be transparent is shown in the image below with a pink rectangle:

Additional Features
All mod features are fully compatible with any resource packs for version 1.8! You can individually disable any elements through the configuration file. Want banners but no temples? Easy!
Additionally, the developer has added the old gravel texture - not from the future, but many players prefer it over the new one. Now you can choose!
Can I use the mod in my modpacks?
Yes, absolutely! No permission required.
