(Impact 3 Origin)

Entropy's Chosen are alien beings with blazing eyes, possessing teleportation abilities that aid them in combat and world exploration, but at the cost of distorting their physiology for these capabilities.

[Starlight Metabolism]

Starlight Gain

Instead of normal regeneration, you use Starlight to heal. Many of your abilities gather Starlight, but you can also generate it at the cost of hunger by crouching when you have lost health.

If you do not collect Starlight for 5 seconds, your current reserve will be consumed, healing you and reducing the cooldown of Entropic Step. When the entire Starlight meter is filled, it is instantly consumed, fully healing you and completely removing the cooldown of Entropic Step.

Info: Starlight is instantly consumed if you gather enough for full healing. For every 5% of the Starlight meter, you heal 1 health and reduce the cooldown of Entropic Step by 1.5 seconds.

Tips: Generating Starlight by crouching is one of the most reliable ways to obtain it, but it heavily depletes the hunger bar. If you have little food but need Starlight, it's better to rely on other abilities.

[Starlit Theurgy]

Starlight Bottle

By using a Glass Bottle while having Starlight, you can preserve it. Bottled Starlight can be consumed to enter a brief state where Starlight periodically regenerates for all nearby Chosen, and the Shock effect is neutralized. You can imbue items with Starlight, increasing their damage and absorbing light on hit, but losing the item's imbue.

Info: Imbue items with Starlight by using Bottled Starlight in your offhand and an item in your main hand. You can also imbue them in your inventory by combining them with each other. Imbued items increase total damage by 25%, stacking with the damage increase from Power Surge. Only non-stacked items can be imbued.

Tips: It's wise to stock up on Bottled Starlight before a fight, as you can absorb it and continuously regenerate for a few seconds. Imbued items are best used at the start of a fight, dealing significant damage but requiring time to re-apply the imbue.

[Entropic Step]

Rift Strike

Press the primary button to begin concentrating power. After activation, you enter Infinite Potential. Your first attack in this state will pierce armor, inflict Void Sepsis, and grant a large amount of Starlight.

After using this ability, a long cooldown begins, during which Entropic Blink also cannot be used.

Tips: Press the primary button while sprinting to activate a medium-range teleport with a brief charge time. If the teleport is unobstructed and ends near another entity, you activate a Power Surge. Power Surges grant Starlight and briefly increase speed and damage by 50%.

[Entropic Blink]

Dimensional Charge

Press the primary button while sprinting to activate a medium-range teleport with a brief charge time. If the teleport is unobstructed and ends near another entity, you activate a Power Surge.

Power Surges grant Starlight and briefly increase speed and damage by 50%.

Tips: You can tell if the teleport reached maximum range for a Power Surge activation by the blue particles at the destination. If the particles are purple instead, it means the teleport was blocked by a block or entity.

[Cosmic Concentration]

Concentrate

Being attacked while charging Entropic Step or Entropic Blink interrupts them. Being attacked during teleportation does not deal damage, instead showing a purple outline of your body as you relocate.

Info: This can only be triggered by an attack, such as a potion or a stab.

[Entropic Dodge]

Entropic Dodge

Press the secondary button to activate a short-range spatial jump in the direction you're moving. It can be used twice before needing to recharge.

During the jump, you deflect all projectiles coming your way back to their owners, granting you Starlight and inflicting Void Sepsis on the target.

Info: In addition to directional inputs, holding Sneak causes a downward jump, and holding Jump causes an upward one. Unlike Entropic Step and Blink, the jump can pass through walls.

[Void Sepsis]

Void Sepsis

Infinite Potential and arrow deflection from Entropic Dodge can each inflict Void Sepsis for 5 seconds, preventing targets from healing during this time.

Afflicted entities glow purple while visible. You can absorb Starlight from creatures with Void Sepsis, the amount gained depends on the attack's power.

[Shock]

Shock

Taking significant damage causes Shock for 4 seconds. While Shocked, using Entropic Step, Blink, and Dodge depletes your Starlight—if you run out of Starlight, this damages you instead.

Shock can be instantly cleared by activating a Power Surge or arrow deflection, or by hitting an entity while in Infinite Potential.

Info: The exact threshold for triggering Shock is 4 damage. This calculation does not factor in your armor or other damage reduction, and environmental damage will not trigger it. [The attached gif is only intended to showcase the appearance of Shock, not its activation. Fall damage does not trigger Shock.]

Tips: Although Shock can be quickly cleared by using teleports, this still incurs the Starlight or health cost for using them. If you'd rather not lose anything, it may be better to just wait out the 4-second timer.

[Strange Energy]

Fall

Your alien form grants you increased sprinting speed, the ability to negate fall damage while crouching, and complete immunity to suffocation and the Thorns enchantment. You do not naturally exhaust, with Starlight generation being the only way to do so. You suffer no consequences from consuming Rotten Flesh or Spider Eyes.

However, this also causes reduced armor toughness and an inability to use a Shield.
