Enchanting Reimagined
Tired of the randomness of enchanting tables? Fed up with finding useless enchanted items in structures throughout the world? This mod offers a completely new approach to working with enchantments. Using a special enchanting workstation, you can extract, upgrade, combine, split, and perform other operations with spells from books and items. Now every enchanted item you find can be useful for creating your next gear!
The enchanting workstation generates in a new type of village house that appears in all village types. Look for a house with an experience bottle above the door.

Capabilities of the Enchanting Workstation
Extracting Enchantments

Enchanted item + book = enchanted book (enchanted item breaks) OR enchanted item + book = item + enchanted book (depending on settings) Default cost is one experience level per level of extracted enchantment
Upgrading Enchantments

Enchanted book + enchantment dust = enchanted book There are two types of dust:
- Enchantment dust: created by smelting an enchanted book. Can upgrade enchantments to the standard maximum level
- Advanced enchantment dust: created from regular enchantment dust, diamonds, and ender pearls. Can upgrade enchantments one level above the standard maximum (configurable)
Default cost is one experience level per added level of enchantment
Combining Enchantments

Enchanted book + enchanted book = enchanted book Default cost is free for combining books. The reasoning behind this is that cost occurs when applying the enchantment to an item
Removing Curses


Enchanted item or book + curse remover = item or book with curses removed Curse remover can be crafted from sponge and iron nuggets Default cost is 5 experience levels
Splitting Enchantments

Enchanted book + book = enchanted book + enchanted book Default cost is free for splitting books. The reasoning behind this is that cost occurs when applying the enchantment to an item
Applying Enchantments

Item + enchanted book = enchanted item Default cost is one level per enchantment added to the item
Repairing Items

Item + repair item = repaired item Default cost is two levels per repair regardless of previous repairs
Settings and Recommendations
For full immersion, it is recommended to enable the option in settings that removes the enchanting table recipe so that all enchantments must be found in the world. Otherwise, the mod may seem too powerful. Many settings are available for configuring the experience cost of various operations.
