DRG Flares

About the Modification
"Did I hear a Rock and Stone?"
This mod brings high-intensity flares from Deep Rock Galactic into Minecraft, offering two usage modes.
Flares are throwable temporary light sources that bounce off surfaces. After 30 seconds, the flare's brightness decreases, and after another 20 seconds, it completely extinguishes. For performance optimization, extinguished flares disappear after 120 seconds.
Most flare parameters are configurable: duration of illumination, light level, throwing speed, and other characteristics. All 16 standard Minecraft colors are available, including red, pink, and even black — interesting how that works?
Important: A flying flare may cause noticeable FPS drops due to the peculiarities of Minecraft's lighting system.
Regenerating Flares
As in the original DRG game, the player has up to 4 flares that regenerate over time. They can be thrown using a dedicated key (default - 'V'). This mode is enabled by default but can be disabled or used alongside the following option.
Survival Flares
Disabled by default. When activated, players can craft and use flares as regular Minecraft items. Flares can also be launched from dispensers.
If regenerating flares are disabled, the throw key will use the survival flare item if available in the inventory. If the Inventorio mod is present, its additional slots are also checked.
Client-Only Mode
Regenerating flares work even without the mod installed on the server! In this case, other players won't see your flares, even if they also have the mod installed. After all, in this mode, flares don't actually exist and are only created on your side.
Survival flares and server-side light sources won't work without the mod installed on the server.
Warning! As with most client-side mods, there's a chance of triggering anti-cheat systems on public servers. Use at your own risk.
Settings
It's recommended to install Cloth Config on the client to access the in-game settings menu. Without this, configuration files must be manually edited at %root_folder%/config/drg_flares_client.json and %root_folder%/config/drg_flares_server.json respectively.
When connecting to a remote server with this mod, your settings will be synchronized with the server's settings for the current gaming session without overwriting the local configuration file.
