DRG Flares (Fabric)

About the Modification
"Did I hear a Rock and Stone?"
This modification introduces high-intensity illumination flares from the game Deep Rock Galactic into Minecraft, available in two usage modes.
Illumination flares are throwable temporary light sources that bounce off surfaces. After 30 seconds of activation, the flare's brightness decreases, and after an additional 20 seconds, it completely extinguishes. For performance optimization purposes, extinguished flares disappear after 120 seconds.
Most flare parameters can be configured: illumination duration, light level, throw speed, and other characteristics. Flares are available in all 16 standard Minecraft colors, including red, pink, and even black — interesting how that works?
Important note: A flying flare may cause noticeable FPS drops due to the peculiarities of Minecraft's lighting system operation.
Regenerating Flares
As in the original DRG game, the player has up to 4 flares that regenerate over time. A dedicated key (default 'V') is provided for their use. This mode is active by default but can be disabled in favor of the alternative option or both can be used simultaneously.
Survival Flares
This mode is disabled by default. When activated, players gain the ability to craft and use flares as regular items in Minecraft. Flares can also be launched from dispensers.
If the regenerating flares mode is disabled, the throw key will use survival flares when available in the inventory. With the Inventorio mod installed, the system also checks additional inventory slots.
Client-Only Mode
Regenerating flares function even without the modification installed on the server! In this case, other players will not see your flares, even if they also have this mod installed. In this mode, flares don't actually exist and are created only on your side.
Survival flares and server-side light sources will not work without the mod installed on the server.
Warning! Like most client modifications, this mod may trigger anti-cheat systems on public servers. Use at your own risk.
Dependencies
• Fabric API — required for most Fabric mods • Cloth Config — recommended for the client to access in-game settings menu
Settings
Cloth Config is an optional client dependency that adds a settings menu directly in the game. Without it, configuration files must be manually edited at %root_folder%/config/drg_flares_client.json and %root_folder%/config/drg_flares_server.json.
When connecting to a remote server with the mod installed, your settings will be synchronized with the server's for the duration of the current gaming session without overwriting the local configuration.
