About Dragon Mounts Mod

This modification transforms previously useless dragon eggs into real companions. After hatching and taming, dragons become your faithful allies who accompany you on any adventure and, of course, serve as an excellent means of air travel!

Getting Started

To hatch a dragon egg, first find a suitable location for it. Place the egg block and simply right-click it. The hatching process will begin, which will take some time.

When the dragon grows up, you can tame it using raw fish. Like other pets, it will follow you and protect you from dangers.

To control the dragon's behavior, use an ordinary bone - you can command your pet to lie down or stand up with a bone.

To ride a tamed dragon, equip it with a saddle, then right-click without holding any item in your hand.

Injured dragons can be healed with raw fish, chicken, beef or pork (restores four hearts), or with rotten flesh (restores two hearts).

During flight, control the dragon using a carrot on a stick.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Will there be armor for dragons? And if so, when?

Answer: There is no precise information yet. This depends on the possibility of using the horse inventory code, which currently has limitations. The situation may improve in the future.

Question: Dragons should breathe fire! When will they learn to do this?

Answer: This feature may appear in the mod's next releases.

Question: How to get dragon eggs other than from boss fights?

Answer: In the DragonMounts.cfg configuration file, you can enable eggs appearing in chests. Open the file with a text editor and change the parameter "B:eggsInChests=false" to "B:eggsInChests=true". If cheats are enabled, you can also use the chat command "/give dragon_egg".

Question: I tamed a dragon in singleplayer, but when interacting with it, I get the message "This dragon doesn't follow your commands".

Answer: This may be an unresolved bug. As a temporary solution, you can use the chat command "/dragon tame" to regain control of the dragon.

Question: I'm a big fan of [something]! Can you add this to the mod?

Answer: This modification is developed without reference to specific fandoms so that it suits all players. This also ensures consistency with the original Minecraft style. Therefore, fulfilling such special requests is unfortunately not possible.
