Mim1q's Derelict
This mod is dedicated to everything abandoned, forgotten, and reclaimed by nature. It offers a carefully curated collection of blocks and tools that will help you create atmospheric builds with a touch of decay.
Currently, the mod adds decorative blocks as well as two special tools: the Waxing Staff and the Aging Staff. This is just the beginning of development!
Useful Tip
Use the Aging Staff on standard light sources from vanilla Minecraft (redstone lamp, sea lantern, jack o'lantern, regular lantern, or soul lantern) to transform them into flickering versions.
Configuration
The mod provides two configuration files: derelict.json5 and derelict-client.json5. Each option is thoroughly explained in the configuration files themselves above the corresponding fields. You can configure:
- The behavior of flickering light sources (priority for performance, appearance, or use of a custom resource pack)
- The appearance of the waxed block indicator (or disable it completely)
- In-world and interface hints when holding Honeycomb, Waxing Staff, or Aging Staff
Future Plans
- Creation of unique abandoned biomes and structures
- Addition of numerous challenging mobs and bosses
- A huge number of new building blocks
- Additional tools, weapons, and other interesting items
- Possibly, a built-in resource pack for arachnophobes :)
