Dank Storage Mod
Dank Storage offers players an advanced storage system in compact containers that can be used both stationary and portable.
What is it?
The mod introduces seven types of danks - specialized storage vessels. Each tier differs in capacity and appearance, allowing quick identification by color.
Tiers and specifications:
- Tier 1 (black): 9 slots, up to 256 items per slot
- Tier 2 (red): 18 slots, up to 1024 items
- Tier 3 (gold): 27 slots, up to 4096 items
- Tier 4 (green): 36 slots, up to 16384 items
- Tier 5 (cyan): 45 slots, up to 65536 items
- Tier 6 (purple): 54 slots, up to 262144 items
- Tier 7 (rainbow): 81 slots, up to 2147483647 items
All specifications are configurable to your needs.
Two operating modes
Each dank can operate in one of two modes, switchable with a key combination:
Bag mode
Used as portable storage. The tooltip shows container contents and assigned keys.
The container interface includes several useful functions:
- Item pickup - control automatic resource collection
- Sorting - arrange items by quantity
Warning! Do not use other mods' sorting systems (like Inventory Tweaks) - this may lead to item loss.
- Tags - automatic conversion of similar items (like different copper ingots) into unified types, useful when working with large modpacks
Automatic excess destruction activates when a slot reaches maximum capacity.
Construction mode
This is where the real magic begins! The dank cannot be placed as a block in this mode but can be used for mining and placing blocks directly from the container. Mousewheel scrolling with Shift held switches the selected item.
The system works with most items: blocks, tools, food, and potions.
Additional features
Docking stations
Special blocks for interaction with automation systems like hoppers and technical mods such as Simple Storage Network, RS and AE2.
Slot locking
Giving a slot a red background prevents extraction of the last item either manually or by pipes, preserving them for automated lines.
Upgrades
Special upgrade items allow improving dank tiers directly in place, eliminating the need to break and recraft them.
