Crying Tools
Crying Tools mod significantly expands the capabilities of crying obsidian in Minecraft, adding numerous new items, tools, and blocks with unique mechanics.

The mod adds to the game:
- 32 new tools
- 15 unique items
- 9 special blocks
- 8 new advancements
- 4 sets of armor with trimming capability
- 3 entities (2 regular and 1 boss)

Resource Gathering
Crying Ores
Crying ores are rare resources that generate in both the Nether and the Overworld. In the Nether, they spawn scattered like ancient debris but can be fully exposed to air. In the Overworld, they generate similarly to diamond ore but twice as rarely.

When mined, the ore drops as crying residue, which can be smelted into ingots or used for crafting.

Crying Ingots
Crying ingots are the primary material for creating tools and armor. They can be enhanced with various materials:
- Netherite
- Diamonds
- Iron
- Copper
- Gold

Unique Blocks
Hard Crying Obsidian
This block cries 4 times more intensely than regular crying obsidian. Used for upgrading netherite tools and summoning the Crier.

Block of Crying
Created from 9 uninfused crying ingots and can be deconstructed back.

Crying Dimension
A special dimension consisting of floating islands, accessible using the "Eye Connected To A Stick" item.

Dimension Biomes
Somewhat Weird Island:
- Crying foods generate on the surface
- Special music track plays
- Only cats and bats can spawn
- Has ore generation
- Purple grass
Somewhat Normal Island:
- Lost crying blocks generate
- Different music track plays
- No natural mob spawning
- Has trees
- No ore generation
- White grass
Crying Tools
Tools are created by upgrading netherite tools using infused crying ingots. Tool characteristics depend on the core ingredient used.

Special Abilities
Each core ingredient provides unique bonuses:
- Netherite: Fire heals you when holding the tool in main hand
- Diamond: Food restores 2x hunger and saturation
- Iron: Tools can extract iron ingots from blocks
- Copper: Lightning strikes enemies when hit
- Gold: Enemies drop gold ingots, Granter summoned when taking damage
Crying Armor
The strongest armor in the game, which activates the sanity mechanic when worn.

Sanity Mechanic
Wearing any piece of crying armor activates the sanity system, which affects additional protection.

Sanity level determines the additional protection provided by armor. Sanity regenerates over time, with regeneration speed depending on game difficulty.
Actions Affecting Sanity
Restore Sanity:
- Drinking honey or water
- Taming animals
- Killing certain mobs
- Eating regular food
Reduce Sanity:
- Taking damage from hostile mobs
- Eating harmful food
- Low health level
Entities
Crier
A boss that can be summoned using a special structure. The only source of Eyes.

Lost Crier
A passive entity that can spawn when interacting with lost crying blocks.

Granter
An entity that follows the player and grants random positive status effects.

Advancements
The mod adds 8 new advancements with various experience rewards:
- It Was Me, I Am The One Who's Cutting Onions - collect all crying tools (10,000 XP)
- Cover Me in Depression - get full crying armor set (8,000 XP)
- A Hoe That Makes You Cry - upgrade netherite hoe (2,000 XP)
- A Good Crier is a Dead Crier - kill the Crier (1,236 XP)
