Can You Tame the Incredible Crocoduck?

Welcome to the world of Crocoducks — the first and only modification that introduces the amazing creature called the Crocoduck into the game.

What Is This Creature?

Crocoducks are a hybrid of a crocodile and a duck. Instead of hissing or quacking, they emit distinctive raspy sounds. These are bloodthirsty pack hunters that kill and devour everything they can grasp with their powerful jaws — from spiders and sheep to villagers and players themselves.

Application Possibilities

Being excellent pack hunters, crocoducks become great helpers in resource gathering. If leashed and trained not to attack their owner, they will pursue any warm-blooded animals with red meat, except for chickens.

Taming Process

To train a crocoduck, you will need a young specimen. Adult individuals can be bred by feeding them raw meat, but during your first attempt, you risk losing a few fingers. A safer alternative is hatching a crocoduck egg.

Obtaining an Egg

Crocoducks lay eggs up to once or twice a day. It is recommended to either keep them on a leash, drive them into a pen, or get a cat — similar to chickens, ocelots attack crocoducks, causing them to scatter in fear. At this point, you can safely collect all eggs left on the ground.

Training Stages

• Once you have a crocoduckling, feed it raw meat — it will start following you and become a loyal companion. Young specimens do not attack other creatures but require protection from ocelots that may eat them.

• After about a day, the baby will turn into an adult crocoduck. It will follow you, making curious sounds, and all nearby animals — sheep, horses, cows, chickens, and pigs — will be defenseless against the power of this creature. Keep farm animals and riding horses away from crocoducks and use leashes when necessary. Ignoring these measures will lead to the swift and bloody death of your animals, except for chickens — due to the absence of a massive crocodile head, they run significantly faster.

• Crocoducks can be used for entertainment by building an arena with plenty of chickens — you will understand why when you finish construction.
