Critters and Companions

Critters and Companions is a vanilla-style Minecraft modification that fills the regular world with new animals and creatures, making it more lively and diverse.

Added Mobs

Otter — inhabits rivers. These cute creatures can open clams to find pearls, which can be used to create pearl necklaces. The clams themselves can be fished from river waters.

Ferret — found in plains and forests. Tamed with raw rabbit and helps hunt chickens and rabbits. After being fed raw chicken, a tamed ferret can dig up various items — this ability has a 5-minute cooldown.

Koi fish — swims in rivers, can be caught with a bucket. Groups of these fish grant the player a luck effect.

Dumbo octopus — lives in ocean depths, also caught with a bucket. When the player starts drowning, nearby octopuses help by creating a bubble helmet.

Sea bunny — ocean dweller, collected with a bucket. Using glass bottles, you can obtain sea bunny slime, which is used to create special blocks.

Dragonfly — hovers over rivers, tamed with spider eyes. After taming, you can create armor for it using three ingots arranged diagonally.

Leaf insect — forest inhabitant that starts dancing when it hears music.

Red panda — lives in jungles and sleeps during the day. Breeds with bamboo, tamed with sweet berries. Tamed pandas scare away most aggressive neutral mobs.

Shima enaga — snow dweller, tamed with seeds.

Jumping spider — tamed with dragonfly wings and protects the player. The silk it drops is used to create silk leashes and grappling hooks.
