Creeper Spores (FABRIC)

This modification is an adaptation of Pyrofab's "Creeper Spores" project for Fabric, as the original Quilt version is no longer maintained.

Key Features

The mod introduces a new status effect called "Creeper Spores" that can trigger under various conditions: when a player or mob is hit, dies, or when the effect expires. Instead of the standard creeper explosion that often frustrates players, this modification offers a more dynamic and engaging mechanic.

Creeperlings Mechanics

When the effect activates, miniature versions of creepers called "Creeperlings" spawn with a certain probability. These small creatures eventually mature into adult creepers if they receive sufficient sunlight. An interesting feature is that Creeperlings are naturally afraid of players and become targets for hunting by cats and ocelots - Minecraft's feline friends.

Settings and Compatibility

The mod provides various configuration options, details of which can be found on GitHub. The developer permits the use of the modification in builds and modpacks. Although the author doesn't plan to port the project to Forge, they don't object to community attempts.
