Colorful Trims - Color Your Armor!

Transform ordinary armor into unique works of art! With the Colorful Trims mod, you can use any dyes together with patterns for complete customization of your armor. This feature works with all types of patterns and armor, exactly as you work with other materials in the game.

For correct display of custom patterns on armor, be sure to install the resource pack. Without it, you will see the standard missing texture element. If something is not working correctly, check the frequently asked questions section below.

Important Note for Versions 1.21.5+

To be able to apply patterns to items, you may need to first drop them on the ground and pick them back up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Why does a red cross appear in the smithing table when trying to craft?
Answer: Drop the dye on the ground, pick it up, and try again. If that doesn't help, restart the server.

Question: Why can't I place the dye in the smithing table?
Answer: Make sure the datapack is installed correctly. If you are sure about the installation, seek help.

Question: Missing texture appears when using the mod - how to fix?
Answer: Be sure to download and install the resource pack.

Question: Where can I download the resource pack?
Answer: When clicking the large download button at the top of the page, only the datapack is downloaded. To download the resource pack, go to the "Versions" tab.

Installation

On server or in single player: Install the datapack and activate it. After installation, restart the server for the smithing table to work correctly.

On client: Install the resource pack to display textures. This is a mandatory requirement.
