Cloak and Dagger
This mod implements a comprehensive stealth system in Minecraft that fundamentally changes the approach to stealth and tactical combat.
Enemy Detection System
Mobs now have various alertness levels. They can be unaware of your presence, distracted by other targets, or in full combat readiness. The mob's status is displayed through special icons above its head or on your crosshair when aiming.
Tactical Advantages
Attacks from cover deal significantly more damage. Strikes against unaware targets are particularly effective. Weapons have a backstab damage multiplier, making stealth approaches deadly.
Stealth Factors
Your visibility is affected by numerous factors:
- Lighting - being in dark areas reduces detection range by up to 80%
- Enemy field of view - mobs see better from the front, worse from sides and rear
- Movement - sprinting makes you more noticeable, standing still improves stealth
- Obstacles - breaking line of sight significantly reduces detection probability
- Sounds - various actions create noise that attracts enemy attention
Special States
Mobs become unaware when sleeping, paralyzed, or petrified. They become distracted by cobwebs, drowning, invisibility effects, confusion, and distraction effects.
Attribute System
Your stealth is determined by a special attribute. Positive values improve all stealth modifiers, negative values worsen them. Armor affects this indicator - light armor hardly interferes with stealth, while heavy armor significantly reduces it.
System Configuration
The mod offers extensive configuration options. You can customize almost any aspect of the stealth system and assign mobs special properties that ignore standard detection rules.
