Red Gear Core

Red Gear Core is a fundamental class library used by most modifications developed by Team Red Gear. This module serves as the foundation for other projects from the collective.

Main Features

Although Core is a library module, it includes several standalone functions that modify standard Minecraft behavior:

• Modified glass and ice properties - these blocks become "solid", allowing:

  • Placement of torches, redstone dust, snow, levers, rails and other objects on them
  • Mob spawning on the surface of these blocks

• Cactus modification - cacti no longer destroy items upon contact

• Finite water - optional setting making water resources limited

• Ore Dictionary registration - automatic addition of standard items and blocks to Forge's ore dictionary:

  • Coal ore
  • Iron ingots and blocks
  • Gold ingots and blocks
  • Emeralds and their blocks
  • Diamonds and diamond blocks

This module is essential for working with other modifications from Team Red Gear and brings useful changes to basic gameplay.
