Ceramics - Expanding Gameplay with Clay
Ceramics is a mod that fundamentally transforms the approach to using clay in Minecraft. Originally inspired by the clay bucket from Iguana Tinker Tweaks, the project has evolved into a comprehensive addition with numerous features useful both in the early stages of the game and for large-scale constructions.
Tools and Equipment

The mod offers various clay tools that expand the player's arsenal:
Terracotta Buckets - affordable alternative to iron buckets in early game:
- Perfect for transporting cold liquids
- Crack when in contact with hot liquids
- Damaged buckets break upon use, becoming single-use for hot substances
- Automatically create variants for all available in-game liquids
Terracotta Armor - budget replacement for leather armor:
- Solves the leather shortage problem before obtaining iron
- Historically accurate - similar armor actually existed
Fluid System

The mod adds a comprehensive system for storing and moving liquids:
Cisterns - modular liquid containers:
- Available in 17 terracotta colors (4 bucket capacity) and 16 porcelain colors (6 bucket capacity)
- Capacity increases when blocks are connected vertically
- Compatible with faucets, channels, and gauges
Gauges - devices for monitoring liquid levels:
- Can be placed on any containers, including blocks from other mods
- Show liquid type and amount when right-clicked
Faucets - mechanisms for pouring liquids:
- Connect to sides or bottoms of blocks
- Activated manually or with redstone
- Slowly pour liquid until target container is full
Channels - liquid transportation system:
- Cannot extract liquids independently - require faucets for filling
- Each side has a direction that can be configured after placement
- Can direct liquid downward when activated
All fluid blocks come in two versions:
- Terracotta: crack from hot liquids but can be repaired with raw clay
- Porcelain: heat-resistant, require porcelain addition
Decorative Elements

In addition to functional blocks, the mod offers a rich selection of decorative elements:
Porcelain - decorative block in pastel colors, similar to stained terracotta or concrete
Porcelain Bricks - white version of standard bricks with ability to create slabs, stairs, and walls
Fancy Bricks - six unique brick styles with random patterns, each with slabs, stairs, and walls:
- Dark Bricks - dark red with industrial tone
- Monochrome Bricks - gray with black accents
- Golden Bricks - bright yellow, showcasing wealth
- Marine Bricks - oceanic tones for prismarine builds
- Lava Bricks - magmatic shades for the Nether
- Dragon Bricks - dark accents for the End

Rainbow Bricks and Clay - animated blocks with smooth rainbow color transitions:
- Clay has 8 variants with different animation starting points
- Bricks can be turned into stairs, slabs, and walls
