Introduction to the Cave World
Caves & Creatures is the result of two years of development that transforms ordinary Minecraft caves into a true virtual sanctuary. The mod adds 23 new mob species, including the archaic axolotl species "Salotls" with over 130 variations. In total, you'll encounter 185 unique creatures! Almost all of them can be tamed using a stick, after which they can sit, wander, or stay in place at your command.
This modification perfectly complements other cave exploration mods, creating a completely updated cave world with an emphasis on tamable pets. The mod receives regular updates and additions of new content.
Three Wonderful Cave Biomes
Ancient Lush Caves
Turquoise waters, sandy lakes, mud ponds, and dangerous tar pits — this biome both captivates and warns simultaneously. It's home to 8 species of creatures, including unusual flying frogs (Frogbats), saber-toothed tiger cubs, spider snakes, giant dragonflies Meganeura, and marine reptiles. Liopleurodon, one of the local marine predators, requires a special approach for taming — Ophthalmosaurus meat.
Exercise caution when encountering spider snakes — their paralyzing venom is neutralized with milk.
Deserted Depths
A true paradise for those with a sweet tooth! A biome entirely composed of confectionery landscapes with sweet sand, lollipops, and ice cream. 10 species of creatures, including sweet sabers, candy corn mice, ice cream crabs, chocolate chipmunks, and snails with colorful shells.
Taming is done using various colored glowing candies. Ice cream stalks are particularly interesting — collect them with a bowl to get ice cream, then add sprinkles!
Luminous Caves
A mysterious underground world with bioluminescent sand illuminating the path beneath your feet. Five glowing creatures fill this biome with magic — water dragons, luminous rays, moonlit frog bats, click beetles, and glowfish create an unforgettable atmosphere.
Unique Axolotl Species
Salotls are an archaic variety of axolotls that can be found in all three new biomes as well as in dripstone caves. Over 136 different variations await their discoverers. The special feature of Salotls is that they can be carried in buckets, wherein they automatically receive a tag preventing them from despawning.
Mysterious Collector
A new type of villager is ready to offer unique items that cannot be obtained in any other way. Currently, he trades two rare items, but his assortment will be expanded in future updates.
Important note: Species placed in buckets work correctly only when obtained in survival mode, not from creative mode.
