Mod Overview

This mod brings the main elements of the "Caves and Cliffs" update from Minecraft 1.17 to earlier versions of the game. You'll get access to all the key innovations of this major update right now!

Main Content

Axolotls

Cute amphibious creatures that will appear in various water biomes. These unique beings will add life to your underwater explorations.

Copper and Its Applications

A new type of metal with a unique property - it gradually changes color over time. A waxed version of copper is also available, which preserves its original appearance.

Amethysts and Geodes

A new type of crystal that forms special geodes - underground pockets with amethyst scattered throughout the world.

Cave Formations

Stalagmites (placed on the floor) and stalactites (placed on the ceiling) will add realism to your caves.

New Plants and Decor

Dripleaves

Unstable platforms that slowly tip over when you walk on them. Young versions of these plants are also available.

Glow Berries

Vines that grow glowing berries over time and can be used for climbing.

Azaleas and Roots

New types of trees with various root options, including hanging versions.

Additional Elements

Pots

Decorative clay pots for interior decoration.

New Stone Types

Various stone block variants presented in the update.

Candles

Work similarly to sea pickles, can be lit using flint and steel or a fire charge.

Powder Snow

A new type of snow with improved visual effects.

Sculk Blocks

A new group of blocks including the basic sculk block, sculk chute, and sculk growth that will appear in the Deep Dark.

Other Innovations

Moss and Spore Blossoms

Decorative moss blocks and beautiful plants emitting particles.

Lightning Rods and Archaeology

Lightning rods (currently non-functional) and an archaeology system for exploring antiquities.

Mechanic Changes

Cauldrons

Can now be filled with lava and powder snow.

Shovels

Can turn dirt, coarse dirt, podzol, and mycelium into path blocks.

Goat Horns and Fireworks

Goat horns make a sound when used, and fireworks can now be created through the recipe book.

Current Status

The mod adds almost everything that was announced at MC Live. Some elements, such as sculk sensors and lightning rods, are not yet functional, but development continues.
