Carbonize

Turn ordinary burning in Minecraft into an exciting process with the Carbonize mod for Fabric! No more items disappearing without a trace — now fire leaves behind useful resources.

What's New in the Game

With this mod, combustion becomes much more realistic and productive. Instead of simply disappearing, burning objects turn into charcoal or ash, opening up new possibilities for crafting and farming.

Main Features

Enhanced Fire Mechanics: More blocks can now burn, and fire spreads over a greater distance (this feature can be disabled). Containers have also become flammable, but this option is turned off by default.

New Building Materials: Charcoal logs and planks have been added, including slabs and stairs. These blocks can fall, burn, and continue to smolder even after falling.

Wood Transformation: When burning, regular wood can turn into charcoal equivalents, making the process more meaningful.

Ash System: Ash layers have been added, which can fall and be washed away by rain. Any burning object can leave behind ash traces.

Useful Ash: Collect ash by breaking ash layers and use it as effective fertilizer for plants.

Charcoal Production

Create charcoal piles: surround 8 or more logs with dirt, stone, or their variants (including mud), leaving one log exposed. Crouch and ignite it with a flint and steel — the logs will turn into a charcoal pile. It's important to completely isolate the structure so it doesn't burn up. An active pile will emit smoke particles, and upon completion of the process, you'll receive charcoal logs.
