Meeting the Strow

This stone creature sits motionless in the darkness, its eyes beginning to glow when a player approaches. When the strow is active, you hear the sound of its intense gaze. It is cautious and attacks only when you're not looking at it.

Varieties

There is a deep variant of the strow - a more territorial creature. It won't attack without good reason.

Damage and Attack

Damaging the stone bird isn't easy - only a pickaxe can harm it. Be careful: if you stare into its eyes for too long, a chill will run down your spine... you've been petrified!

Drops

Both varieties of strow drop strow essence - a new crafting material that will soon have applications.

Petrification

Dying under the petrification effect turns you into a statue! The statue preserves all your items and experience gained at death. By destroying the statue, you can retrieve everything.

Obtaining the Effect

Currently, the petrification effect can be obtained by staring at the strow for too long, but in the future it will be possible to create it using potions.
