Caelum Refabricated
Caelum Refabricated is an adaptation of the Caelum mod for the Fabric platform, which fundamentally transforms the Minecraft sky sphere, making it more realistic and authentic.
Main Features
The mod completely reworks the visual design of the sky, replacing standard stars with real astronomical objects taking into account their true color characteristics. Lunar phases now function correctly thanks to the Moon's independent movement from the Sun. Throughout the game year, the visibility of the starry sky gradually changes, creating the effect of seasonal constellation shifts.
A feature of the mod is the latitude orientation system - the closer the player is to the virtual world poles, the lower the sun is positioned above the horizon, adding geographical authenticity.
Flexible Settings
Users can finely tune visual parameters:
- Choose between standard Minecraft stars or astronomically accurate ones
- Completely disable star display if necessary
- Activate or deactivate star coloring (does not apply to vanilla)
- Adjust the size of stellar objects
- Configure the duration of the game year for changing constellation visibility
- Change the length of the lunar month
- Determine the influence of player coordinates on the celestial sphere display
- Set coordinates for the north and south poles of the world
Technical Features
For version 1.20.1 Fabric, the mod supports optional server installation. When installed on the server, moon phases are synchronized between client and server to ensure uniform display.
It's important to note that the movement of celestial bodies is a simplified model and does not fully correspond to real astronomical laws (orbits are considered perfectly circular, there is no Earth's axial tilt, and other complex effects).
Compatibility with other modifications, especially those affecting sky rendering, is not guaranteed.
