Bundles!
During Minecraft Live 2020, Mojang announced that version 1.17 would introduce a new item to the game - the bundle! This item serves as an early-game version of the shulker box, helping you save inventory space.
How to Get a Bundle?
Crafting a bundle is very simple - you only need 5 rabbit hides and 2 strings. Combine these materials on a crafting table, and you'll have a convenient container for storing various items.

How It Works
Select the bundle from your inventory and left-click on an item stack to place it inside. It's important to remember that you cannot put a full stack of items into a bundle - you can only place up to half of the maximum stack size, unless it's a non-stackable item. When finished, simply left-click on an empty slot in your inventory.
To remove items from the bundle, right-click on it, and all contents will transfer to your inventory.
Alternative usage method: select the bundle in your inventory and right-click on an item stack, or right-click with a stack on the bundle if there's available space.
To extract individual items, right-click on the bundle in your inventory to remove one item at a time (from last to first), or right-click outside the inventory to drop all bundle contents on the ground.
The mod's functionality matches the latest 1.17 snapshots where bundles were originally developed.
The mod was also featured in Boodlyneck's "Mods of the Week" series!
Content Restrictions
Not all items can be placed in bundles. By default, the mod includes two tags: bundle_ignored_blocks and bundle_ignored_items, which contain blocks and items prohibited from storage in bundles. Initially, you cannot place other bundles, chests, trapped chests, ender chests, or any shulker boxes.
However, you can modify these tags to allow storage of prohibited blocks or add new restrictions. The main thing is to correctly distribute objects between tags (blocks in bundle_ignored_blocks, items in bundle_ignored_items). The only limit is your imagination!
Bundle Capacity
A bundle can hold up to 64 items (a full stack), but remember that some items, such as tools or ender pearls, take up more space than regular blocks.
Conclusion
Minecraft 1.17 became one of the most significant updates in the game's history, bringing many long-awaited features! This mod allows you to use the bundle mechanics in version 1.16.5, although some aspects may differ from the vanilla implementation due to technical limitations of the version. Keep in mind that bundle development in original Minecraft continues, so functionality may change in the future, and the mod will be updated accordingly.
We hope you enjoy using bundles! Happy gaming!
