Boundless
In the game Terraria, there are modifications that provide unlimited access to consumable items like potions, arrows, and similar things. However, Minecraft lacked similar solutions - which became a challenge I had to overcome.
The essence of the Boundless mod is extremely simple: it adds just one enchantment called Boundless. This is a rare treasure enchantment that, when applied to certain types of items, makes them endless. You'll be able to drink potions indefinitely, eat food, and use various consumables without limit. All functionality is fully compatible with dispensers, though if any shortcomings are found - be sure to report them.
The mod settings allow you to enable or disable various item groups, with some of the most powerful options deactivated by default.
Items active by default
- All types of potions (regular, splash, and lingering)
- Buckets (except mob buckets)
- Throwable items (ender pearls, snowballs, and eggs)
- All types of arrows (not for bows - only for dispensers)
- Fire charges
- Any food
- Spawn eggs
Items disabled by default
- Experience bottles
- Mob buckets
- Ender eyes (works for both locating strongholds and filling end portals)
- Bone meal
- Totems of Undying
- End crystals
Frequently Asked Questions
Which versions are supported? The mod is intended for use with Forge.
Doesn't this break game balance? Yes, this is a powerful mod. But if I cared about balance, I wouldn't be creating modifications at all.
Can you make unconsumable tools? There's already a separate mod for that from the same developer.
What about infinity for crossbows and special arrows? Other modifications provide this functionality. For a complete unlimited experience, two additional mods are recommended that solve these tasks.
Will there be ports to other versions or modloaders? No, the author doesn't plan to do this, but allows independent porting of functionality.
Is the mod compatible with other modifications? Probably yes, it all depends on how items are implemented in other mods. If conflicts are discovered - report them for fixing.
