Block Slabs

Many mods have attempted to implement the ability to place two slabs in one block, but faced performance issues - too many such blocks caused lag. Block Slabs solves this problem with a fundamentally different approach: instead of using complex mechanisms with entities or containers, the mod simply adds over 1000 ready-made block variants where each half represents a separate slab.

Although the initial loading of the mod may be more resource-intensive compared to analogues, in the long term performance remains stable and even better.

One of the key advantages of Block Slabs is complete compatibility with default Minecraft textures, making it friendly to almost any resource pack. The example below shows the mod working with Conquest Reforged:

The mod is fully adapted for survival - to create each combined block, you simply need to place a log or brick above or below a plank or another log. The creative menu is organized very conveniently and divided into four tabs for quick search of needed blocks.

Currently, the mod is only available for Forge version 1.19, but the developer plans to release it for other Minecraft versions as well.
